Popis: | 1. Electromechanical machining (EMM) of parts made of gray cast iron yielded a strengthened layer with good operating properties: wear resistance, heat resistance, and corrosion resistance. 2. The strengthening of the surface layer of parts made of gray cast iron SCh21 in EMM is connected with its hardening and the formation of a large amount of residual austenite. 3. It is recommended to apply EMM to parts operating at high temperatures and under large loads (cylinders, piston rings of internal combustion engines). |
