Popis:	Early detection is the key to survival and satisfactory recovery from breast cancer. There is evidence from several studies that mammographic screening and physical breast examination of asymptomatic women will result in a reduction in long-term mortality from breast cancer and a reduction in the proportion of breast cancers detected at Stage II and more advanced stages (1–4). Similarly, regular breast self-examination (BSE) is related to earlier detection and improved survival in breast cancer patients (5).
