The well-being of children with health-related suffering associated with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions in low- and middle-income countries needs international first-world support for the development of health structures, the existence of the WHO Essential Medicines List, and the training of its professionals in oncology and palliative care through the creation of a network of teaching hospitals in solidarity. These different approaches could improve their quality of life and survival and give support for their families and will reduce the large gap in knowledge and resources between rich and poor countries. Children are the greatest wealth in the world and require the greatest possible protection. |
