This systematic review study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of intervention for gaming disorder in adolescents. Given the increasing numbers of literature on treatment for gaming disorder, the current study will systematically compare interventions including cognitive behavioural therapy and pharmacological intervention. Additionally, this review of the gaming disorder treatment literature will examine the limitations and inconsistencies of treatment studies. This review will help to identify the greater application in gaming disorder treatment, although limited literature studies available to assess in the gaming disorder field. It is hoping to yield a conclusive statement of the current knowledge of existing treatment, hence, providing practical guidelines and directions for future clinical studies. |
