The object of the research is the Al-Mg alloy, the welding problems of which are high deformations of thin-sheet constructions, and refractory oxide film. It is suggested to use laser welding, characterized by low specific heat input and high concentration of energy, with application of some fluxes being developed, which raise the efficiency of the process and decrease the quantity of oxide inclusions in the weld.© (1999) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering.
