Chaotic variation of the capture effect around the weak stability boundary

Popis:	This paper provides a study of the phenomenon of capture by considering the capture effect [3] of a capturing planet regarding to a small body. This process is studied in the model of restricted three‐body problem, where the three bodies are the Earth, Moon and massless particle. We show that the weak stability boundary [1] is a subset of the region where the variation of the capture effect is chaotic.
