As Machine Learning (ML) is becoming omnipresent, it isimportant to popularize ML knowledge starting in highschool. At this educational stage ML is typically taught byteaching students to develop ML models for imageclassification adopting visual environments. For thispurpose a user-friendly visual layer of Jupyter Notebookwas developed, that provides comprehensive support for allprocess steps involved in developing image classificationmodels. Results of a preliminary evaluation with teachersand students provide a first indication that it can be a useful,functional, performance-efficient, and usable support forteaching the development of image classification models tonovices and ease the transition to conventionalenvironments later on |
