Popis: In this paper, a performance review of Fractional order proportional Integral Derivative (FOPID) Control technique when applied to Brushless DC motor (BLDC) has been presented. BLDC Motor dynamics is of non-linear nature. These uncertain systems cannot be effectively handled by PID controllers. The terms Fractional integrator and fractional derivative enhanced the effectiveness of PID controller. To accomplish the improved response of BLDC motor FOPID parameter tuning is important. The paper introduces a comprehensive performance review of optimization methods which is applied for tuning of FOPID controller.
