Popis: | A comparison of seawater cooled power station condensers and the heat rejection sections of multi stage flash evaporators (MSF) showed very similar design and operational parameters. Remarkable differences are to be seen with regard to the design fouling factor. Typical design fouling factors of MSF rejection sections are about 7 times higher than with a power station condenser. This will result in a heat exchange surface of the rejection section, which is about 50 % to 70 % larger than with P.S. condensers and will subseguently cause higher capital costs. As a conclusion, design fouling factors much lower than the ones used up to now have been recommended. |
