Preparation of tris[(R)-(3-aza-4-oxo-5-hydroxy-5-phenyl-pent-1-yl)]amine and structural investigation of its dihydrate

Popis:	A C3 symmetric triol was synthesized from mandelic acid. Its dihydrate, C30H36N4O6·2H2O, is monoclinic with the following unit-cell dimensions: a = 8.518(1), b = 16.703(5), c = 10.742(3) A, β = 100.93(2)∘. The space group is P21 and Z = 2. The crystal-structure determination was run by using 2 561 independent reflexions with a final R value of 0.051 (Rw = 0.025).
