Popis: | The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the influence of a simulation training program on interprofessional learners' confidence and self-efficacy in conducting family meetings focused on end-of-life care in an intensive care unit. Medical residents, nursing students, social work students, and spiritual care residents participated in a simulation training that involved the use of prework modules, scenarios with trained actors, and debriefing sessions. Pretest and posttest questionnaires measured changes in confidence and self-efficacy before and after the training, and open-ended questionnaire items gave insight into the program overall. Results indicated improvements in both confidence and self-efficacy for learners, and recommendations are given for future directions of the program and for future evaluations. |
