Change in the supermolecular structure of oriented polyethylene in the course of short-term heat treatment above the melting point

Popis:	Structural investigations have been carried out for oriented high molecular PE affected by short term-treatment above the equilibrium melting point, using the method of X-ray analysis and electron microscopy. The material formed during recrystallization under these conditions has two types of supermolecular structure. Results obtained by electron microscopy and X-ray analysis show good agreement between average dimensions of longitudinal periodicity.
