Popis:	For the first time, subsurface data, i.e. well and 3D seismic establish that a sand rich fan delta is deposited during the Messinian Salinity Crisis at the mouth of the Nile Messinian canyon in the offshore. The Abu Madi Formation displaying an overall backstepping architecture; correlations can be made with gas fields develop updip into the infill of subaerial canyon.
