Popis: As valuable as our physical help and education can be, it is the emotional interchange which we have with the dying patient and his family which is, in the long run, the most effective care. Through our capacity and willingness to comfort, reassure and enhearten we reaffirm to our patients and ourselves that we are also members of the human race and no less mortal than those we treat. The patient is oddly comforted by the finitude that we have in common.
