Popis: | Dithiadiazafulvalenes (DTDAF) can be formed either chemically or electrochemically. Electrochemical investigations have been carried out on 2-ethylthio-1,3-thiazolium salts to determine the redox behavior of dithiadiazafulvalenes formed by cathodic coupling. Using an in situ method, the donor has been trapped in the medium and a crystalline charge-transfer salt with TCNQ has been isolated. The crystal structure and magnetic susceptibility data of this 1:3 complex established that the DTADF is in the dicationic state. |
