Popis: The paper has stadied the modern clinical and epidemiological features of urogenital chlamydiosis, the morbidity state, its structure, dynamics and regional characteristics. It has been found out that the basis of the disease incidence of urogenital chlamydiosis is made up of people of the most reproductive age – 20-34 years, of the male, gender whose major cause of an appeal for medical aid to a hospital is a random unprotected sexual contact. Thus, there is a need to develop and introduce into the daily practice of physicians specially elaborated programs in the field of STI counseling, which have been successfully used abroad in recent decades, and with the help of which it has been possible to achieve a reduction in the incidence of nongonococcal urethritis by 4-5 times.
