Quantitative Investigation of New Templateless Growth Method for Highly Crystalline Ni, Co and Ni-Co Nanowires

Popis: In this work, we report growth of highly crystalline Ni, Co and layered Ni-Co nanowires obtained by a novel combination of high-speed turbulent flow electrodeposition with a thin hydrocarbon layer on an oxidized titanium substrate. Our results indicate that a turbulent flow regime can be used to break a hydrocarbon surface film into an array of carbon catalyst particles while creating solute-substrate ion chemistries that are conducive for highly crystalline Ni, Co and layered Ni-Co nanowire growth.
