Research and Teaching of Line Coding Using OrCad and Emona Instruments Trainer in Engineering Education

Popis: The paper discusses the use of the OrCad environment and the Emona Telecoms-Training Lab ETT-101 for research and teaching of Line coding in order to help students on engineering study programmes to learn the principles of building digital communication systems. The simulations developed and presented and the laboratory layout allow for examination and comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of NRZ-B coding, RZ and RZ-B coding, and AMI coding. The results of the simulation and experimental tests are presented too.
