FTIR study of nickel and copper oxidation: Theoretical approach and experience

Popis: The behaviour of the specular reflectance of several oxides on metals (Cr2O3 on Cr, Cu2O on Cu) has been studied theoretically and experimentally in the infrared region. Theoretical and experimental are in accordance with each other. The results obtained on pure metals are applied to the sudy of 80 Ni-20 Cr and 55 Cu-45 Ni alloys in order to identify the oxides grown on the oxides grown on the surface during thermal oxidation.
