Popis: | TiO 2 nano particles with special photonic properties have many applications such as sunscreen production, radar design, detectors and sensors generations and many others photonic applications. The main goal of this study is investigating the optical properties of TiO 2 nanoparticles which are synthesized via sol-gel method by hydrolysis of titanium (IV)-iso-propoxide with water in n -propanol. The size of the particles are measured using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX). Applying optical properties analysis of nanoparticles estimates the optical energy gap ( E g ), the optical constants as refractive index ( n ), extinction coefficient ( k ) and dielectric constant. Moreover, the Mie's analysis was studied for three different sizes of nanoparticles and extinction, scattering, back scattering and ratio cross sections have been calculated. Results show that by increasing the nanoparticle diameters, the peak of all spectra is red-shifted for larger particles and cross sections peak shift to high values. Also, a matrix of Mie scattering intensities as a function of u = cos θ for different nanoparticle diameters are plotted to place the nanoparticles at a proper interface. |
