Most seniors begin looking for employment about nine months to one year before graduation. The first step is to register with the placement office on your campus where you are instructed on the proper procedures, i.e., how to use the placement library; how to sign up for an interview; how to use a resume to maximum advantage. This is followed by research on companies in which you are interested as well as selection of specific companies with which to interview. The placement office will then give you a sign-up sheet, which has the date and time of your interview with XYZ company. |
