Popis: | Pseudoangiomatous stromal hyperplasia (PASH) is a benign mesenchymal proliferative breast condition. Although its prevalence is difficult to accurately estimate, tumor-forming PASH is a rather uncommon breast lesion. The exact etiology and pathogenesis of PASH is not clearly understood. It typically affects women in their reproductive years. While PASH has been described in female and male adults, it appears to be rare in the pediatric population. Herein, we review a case of an unusually large tumorous form of PASH, which caused massive breast asymmetry in a young woman. In the second case report, we describe a 17-year-old boy with tumorous PASH leading to asymmetric gynecomastia. In both cases, we present the clinical features, imaging results, histopathologic features, and surgical treatment of the disease. |
