Investigation of Novel Multi Directional Fan Blade Model Using PLA Material

Popis: In order to develop the light weight multi flow fan blades, additive manufacturing have been used to produce the PLA material blades in this research and to promote the application of PLA, it became essential to investigate the mechanical properties such as endurance and tensile strength elastic property along with the flow analysis. Two novel segments of this research are the analysis of the PLA material for the mechanical properties and the CFD analysis of the fan blade model to perform with high effectiveness. As the outcome of the research, it is observed that the tensile strength and elasticity of PLA materials manufactured through additive manufacturing increases with the increase in printing angle and thickness up to a threshold level. All the experimental results obtained are in the satisfactory range for an application involving fan blades. So the material can be suitable for the fabricating the fan blades without compromising the quality of the blades and application requirements. The CFD analysis have also been performed to design the fan blade and its twisting angle, thereby the maximum air flow can be obtained in all the directions.
