Popis: | The paper proposes a new straightforward method to synthesize load frequency controller (LFC) for power system with the time delay introduced by the communication network. The primary aim of LFC design is to determine control actions to achieve zero steady state of frequency deviation and efficient attenuation of load disturbance. Load frequency controllers of PI and PID-type are derived by shaping the load disturbance response based on the desired reference model. Depending on the number of terms used in Maclaurin series expansion within the design procedure one gets PI or PID controllers. In the proposed design methodology, the time constant λ of the reference model is the free parameter, and it has a direct influence to the disturbance rejection, which is evaluated by Integral of Absolute Error (IAE). Simulation analysis of the proposed design methodology is done on a single machine power system with non-reheated turbine and comparison with recent technique is performed to demonstrate its effectiveness. |
