Popis: Science skepticism is widespread and on the rise. It is a strong threat to public well-being and global sustainability. In this paper, I argue that crowd science is a promising and underutilized tool to fight this threat. Drawing on recent behavioral research in marketing, I identify several positive psychological consequences of crowd science initiatives—both for the participants and observers of these initiatives—which could in turn promote stronger trust in science.
