Popis:	We report the ability to probe mitochondrial morphology with angularly resolved light scattering measurements of whole cells. Early apoptotic changes in mitochondrial morphology following photodynamic therapy induced oxidative stress have been detected and modeled. Scattering measurements and models have been confirmed with electron microscopy and scattering measurements from isolated mitochondria.
