Cellulase enzymes in culture filtrates of Aspergillus flavus

Popis:	Aspergillus flavus grew in media with soluble or insoluble cellulose as carbon source, releasing into the medium a complex of cellulase enzymes. The complex was separated by molecular exclusion and ion exchange chromatography into eight components, five of high molecular weight and three of low molecular weight. There was synergism between the components as together they yielded more glucose than was predicted from their activities alone. One of the high molecular weight components had the character of a C1 cellulase enzyme.
