Popis: | Treatment of (Rh II ) 2 4+ (aq) with O 2 in 3 M HClO 4 yields a violet (e 560 max =620 M -1 cm -1 ) superoxo complex, the properties of which are in accord with the assigned formula [(H 2 O) 4 (OH)Rh III (O 2 )Rh III (OH)(H 2 O) 4 ] 3+ . This cation is reduced, in 1:1 reactions with V(II), Eu(II), Ti(III), and Fe(II), or in 2:1 reactions with ascorbic acid and hydroquinone, to a le - reduction product, the corresponding peroxo complex |
