Popis:	The formation of O2(b 1Σg+) in the ultraviolet photodissociation of O3 (335–352 nm) has been observed for the first time using (2+1) resonance enhanced multiphoton ionization. Measurement of the photofragment kinetic energy confirms that the primary photodissociation step involves the absorption of a single photon.
