The present study sought to present the historical process of the development of the Adapted Physical Education (EFA) discipline at the Federal University of Parana (UFPR) and to describe its relations with the graduates of the Physical Education course, which it incorporated to work in institutions for people with disabilities with Paralympic sport. The research has a qualitative character and the research method used was Oral Hybrid History. Three former students and the first teacher of the discipline were interviewed. From the analysis It is summarized that the interviewees experienced different moments of the implementation of the EFA and contributed to their formation.
