Popis:	Herewith we study the susceptibility to HSV-I infection in malnourished rats. Groups of 8 rats were undernourished during weanling by offspring duplication. Rats weighing 40% less than controls at weaning were considered malnourished. The animals were put on commercial diet and at 1, 2, 3 and 8 weeks after weaning, infected by intranasal instillation of 10 5 plaque forming units of HSV-1, strain F. Significant differences in morbility and mortality were specially observed between malnourished and control groups infected 3 weeks after weaning.
