We developed a new meridian multiple dot plate, the procedure of which is explained. Visual field changes detected by kinetic perimetry with Goldmann perimeter, when assessed by the new meridian multiple dot plate showed as high grade depression. The differences between the results of meridian multiple dot plate and Tubinger perimeter were pointed out. In normal subjects, the profile of both values were parallel with a discrepancy within 1.3 log units. In glaucomatous visual field changes, the discrepancy of profile showed extreme separation. The reason for the separation of the two values is regarded as the result of abnormal temporal summation. |
