CuInS2- and CuInS1.2Se0.8-activated silicate glasses were prepared from starting charges containing various combinations of carbon (reductant), sulfur, and selenium, and their absorption spectra were measured before and after additional heat treatment. The introduction of carbon was shown to improve the optical properties of the glasses (optimal content, 2.0 wt %). Heat treatment has an insignificant effect on the absorption spectra of the glasses, because color centers are formed only during melt cooling. |
