Hebb–Wagner-type polarization and relaxation processes are theoretically analyzed in the presence of the cross effect between ionic and electronic flows in a mixed ionic/electronic conductor A 1− δ X. Analytic, transient solutions have been found for both processes in (i) potentiostatic ion-blocking, (ii) potentiostatic electron-blocking, (iii) galvanostatic ion-blocking, and (iv) galvanostatic electron-blocking conditions, respectively, when the perturbation of the system from equilibrium is not large. The salient features of the potentiostatic transients are discussed in comparison with the galvanostatic ones. |
