Popis: | This article considers the role of the educational psychologist (EP) in providing individual supervision sessions in an educational context. Supervision in an educational context is an area of growing interest, with increasing literature supporting its use in this area (e.g. Hulusi & Maggs, 2015; Bartle & Trevis, 2015; Soni, 2015). This article describes how one EP provided individual supervision sessions to four school staff over the course of one term which was evaluated using semi-structured interviews. Although this is a short-term study, with limited generalisability, it highlights the positive impact of individual supervision sessions on staff practices within the classroom as well as their overall wellbeing. This adds to the existing literature in advocating for the role of EPs in providing supervision to school staff. |
