Popis: | In an attempt to combat the nation's so-called “obesity epidemic,” tertiary weight-management clinics have emerged to help overweight and obese children develop strategies to better manage their health. Although these multidisciplinary clinics are gaining popularity, they unfortunately experience high discontinuation and drop-out rates. This article suggests a new, innovative way to affect change at these clinics by fostering a sense of athletic identity among the overweight or obese children. |
