Parallel test of two coherent infrared differential absorption lidars

Popis: LIDARs are powerful devices for remote detection of atmospheric pollution. However calibration of data is difficult as there are no other methods that allow for fast non interfering remote measurement of the integrated concentration. In a unique field test two similar coherent LIDARs were used to detect gaseous emission. Fast response time (1 sec) and good quantitative correlation of the measurements demonstrate the applicability of the technique.
