Popis:	Investigations of the fragmentation potential energy surface is realized in the frame of the macroscopic-microscopic model in order to emphasize the importance of the shell effects in the synthesis and the stability of superheavy nuclei. The origin of several minima that are responsible for metastable states is discussed.
