Students’ English Language Skills Proficiency Development and Administration of Job Enabling English Proficiency (JEEP) in Selected Colleges in Region Xii

Popis: The general objective of this study was to find out the students’ English language skills proficiency development and the administration of JEEP in the selected colleges and universities in Region XII. The study sought to find out the relationship and influence between the instruction operation requisites, the teachers’ commitment and administration actions for sustainable operation. This study employed the descriptive-correlation design. The respondents are the 286 JEEP Accelerate students from two schools and complete enumeration sampling was utilized. The results revealed on the JEEP instruction operation on the students’ sustained interest; teachers’ commitment; and administration actions for operation were rated “Highly Evident”. The correlation results between instruction operation on students’ sustained interest; teachers’ commitment; and between administration actions for operation of JEEP and students’ English language skills proficiency based on their grades were all found significant. Hence, the Full Model Regression on instruction operation of students’ sustained interest and the students’ English language skills proficiency based on their grades found the most important factor is attendance. It implied that less absences, the higher grades the students achieved. While the Full Model Regression on administration for sustainable operation and the students’ English language skills proficiency based on their grades found the most important factor is the students’ enrollment. It implied that less negligence in the administration for sustainable operation, the higher is the students’ grades achieved.
