Popis: This study provides insights into the prevalence and practice of home office in Germany in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Central to this, the Bavarian Research Institute for Digital Transformation (bidt) conducted two short online surveys at the end of March 2020 and in mid-June 2020. Each one collected around 1,500 responses from working adult Internet users. The results show how often respondents worked from home before and during the coronavirus crisis as well as the reasons given for not having worked in home office before. Also investigated was how well employers were prepared for the increase in home office working, and whether there were any difficulties associated with the technology required to work from home. Other questions captured the satisfaction levels of people working from home as well as their desire to do so more often and their estimation of how opportunities to work from home might develop once the pandemic was over.
