As graduate students, you will encounter a number of ethical issues in research and scholarship. In this chapter we draw your attention to many of these issues and provide a framework for discussion and decision making. However, the choices will not always be clear-cut. The most important aspect of making good decisions is to have good information and obtain advice from trusted faculty. The major topics to be presented include misconduct in science, working with faculty and other graduate students, using humans as subjects in research, and using animal subjects. |
