Popis: | Glutathione-capped CdTe quantum dot (GSH-CdTe) is used to determine the trace amount of amoxicillin (AMC) antibiotic. The fluorescence intensity of GSH-CdTe decreased in the presence of Co2+ ions with an increase in AMC concentration. The fluorescent biosensing system is based on the complex formation of AMC with Co2+ ions and its inner filter effect. Several parameters, such as pH, Co2+ concentration, time, and amount of quantum dots affecting the sensor’s sensitivity, were optimized. The linear dynamic range for AMC measurement was 1.0–15.0 ng $\cdot $ mL−1 with a detection limit of 0.2 ng $\cdot $ mL−1 under the optimized conditions. The relative standard deviation for ten repeated determinations of 2.0 and 4.0 ng $\cdot $ mL−1 solutions was 1.4% and 1.5%, respectively. The effect of interfering species on the sensor’s response was studied, and the results show that the proposed method has good selectivity. Finally, the determination of AMC in the blood serums and capsule samples were investigated. |
