Popis: | A quantitative model was proposed to consider the kinetic and thermodynamic features of argon-impregnated titanium alloys in a static argon atmosphere and to predict the influence of chemicothermal treatment on the physicomechanical properties of the alloy surface layers. The diffusion problem in which the chemical interaction of the impregnating element with the body is taken into consideration was studied. Specimens of VT1-0, PT-7M and OT4-1 alloys were annealed with pure argon and the influence of the gas impregnation, the distribution of interstitial impurities and the properties of the heat treated metal were investigated by metallography. The model concepts make it possible to take into consideration the kinetic and thermodynamic features of gas impregnation of titanium alloys in a static argon atmosphere. |
