| Popis: | The article examines the billon mirrors found in the vicinity of the village of Almak (Kazbek district of the Republic of Dagestan). Here the early medieval burial ground is destroyed. Archaeological materials from these destroyed graves enter museums of the republic. Among the finds, mirrors with a central loop and various variants of geometric ornament on the reverse side stand out. They complement the set of mirrors found in Dagestan and the North Caucasus. Comparative typological analysis made it possible to date the mirrors of the 7th — 10th centuries. |
