Popis:	Several sugar glutaramide combinations, wherein the aldehyde group of the sugar was incorporated as C-4 of the imide ring, were prepared to provide molecules with chemotherapeutic potential. The most interesting bioassay results were seen in the inhibition of the bacteria Mycobacteriumintracellularae by the glutarimide combinations with D- and L-xylose.
