Wet chemical processes represent an important part of the value chain in the production process of crystalline silicon wafers and solar cells. The paper gives an overview of the state of the art technology of wet chemical processes in crystalline silicon wafer and solar cell production, such as wafer cleaning, texturing, high purity cleaning, oxide removal, single side etching and additional processes like laser chemical doping combined with plating are presented briefly.
