Popis: Many countries, including Japan, face the hyper-aged society and consolidate the nursing homes for seniors, such as the housing for the elderly with home-care services provided as well as “Aging in Place” support such as improvement of services in local environments and communities. However, it is challenging to comprehend the diversified needs of a wide variety of seniors about their livelihood supports. Also, to establish new living supports, we should clarify seniors’ current situation, including everyday life and service usages in spheres of daily life. Nevertheless, the useful measure to investigate the situation remained unconsidered. In this study, our objective is to develop an application to collect seniors’ impressions on various locations at a different time and to investigate the characteristics of seniors individuals and local services by using our system. Mainly, we implemented the application named HabitLet that is based on the experience sampling method (ESM) on a smartphone and then asked twenty seniors to input their situations when the alarm of HabitLet rang. The results indicated that the HabitLet could reveal their lifestyles and the impressions in their life sphere.
