Popis:	This paper describes the Evolutionary study of Service Location Protocol. There are many discovery protocols developed by the researchers but SLP is the most extensively researched, tested, utilized, flexible, reliable, scalable, lightweight and standardized discovery protocols. Service Location Protocol is discussed briefly in this paper along with its working. The Evolution of SLP is discussed from its origin to its applicability in different research areas till date.
