Popis:	The single‐cell thermionic fuel element (TFE) is the main element of the TOPAZ‐II power system. The single‐cell TFE has a number of design advantages over the multi‐cell construction which enables and simplifies the performance of verification, acceptance, and qualification tests. This paper will discuss the design features and test history of the Russian TOPAZ‐II thermionic fuel element (TFE).
