Popis:	The authors investigate the behavior of kaolin fiber in fused aluminum with brief immersion in the latter and lengthy attack. It is characterized by very slight wetting of the individual fibers (with brief immersion) and fundamental phase transitions due to decomposition of the fiber and reduction of silica (in the case of lengthy attack). The influence of binders on this process is shown.
